This is odd-not losing any weight

I use a teaspoon or maybe two for almond butter-not tablespoons

Too intense of exercise

Also if IF has not worked after a month, stop.
It has worked for me in the past but I tried it again this past year and my weight didn’t budge. Went back to just counting calories to lose weight

You’re on a diet even though you say your clothes fit fine. You lost 2 lbs and will continue to lose weight if you continue to diet. Not sure what your question is. No you won’t lose 13 lbs in a month.

I’ve never understood people that are eating nut butters of any kind - wholly natural or otherwise - when they are trying to lose weight. People eat nut butters when you are trying to keep weight on.

Fat is not the enemy. It’s actually helpful to have nuts or nut butters in a diet when you are trying to accelerate weight loss, even though that sounds bizarre. It is easily used energy for your body and healthy fats are good for you if you are not over indulging or including lots of carbs and sugar as well into your diet. Avocados, olive oil, coconut oil, almonds and other nut butters are healthy foods that shouldn’t be avoided.

If what you describe is accurate, you are not eating enough and your metabolism is slowing down to accommodate. Try eating 1700-1800 calories for a day or two and then drop down to 1300-1400 but don’t go below that. And get more protein.

You're eating more calories than you're burning. Doesn't matter what time you eat them you're eating too many.

The first sentence is amazing fact of physics. The second is contestable, your metabolism really does slow down if you don’t eat enough.

Which for the vast majority of people trying to lose weight isn't happening. They are eating far more calories than they think they are.

Anonymous wrote:I have been doing IF for a month now. Stop eating 6:30pm begin eating 1:30pm. Eating low carbs, no sugar, essentially keto but I am not trying to only have 25 carbs a day or anything. I’ll eat handful of raspberries or blueberries every other day, a slice of Ezekiel bread occasionally. But generally I’ve been eating vegetables with olive oil, skinless boneless chicken thighs or breasts, lean turkey, cheese and chia seeds and some berries occasionally and very whole grain like Ezekiel bread or high fiber protein wrap. No refined sugar and no alcohol. Scale has only moved 1-2lbs in a month! I’m also strength training 3 days a week (50 minute class) and hard hiit class 2 days a week. What gives??? I’m 158lbs and 5’8. What’s strange is that I have built muscle, I know I have but how much? I want to get back to 145 b it all my clothes still fit fine I just don’t like that number on the scale.

What gives? You're 5'8" and weight 158#. Your body doesn't need to lose any weight.
Why does everyone expect to stay the same weight their whole adult life?
Regardless, you don't indicate how you were eating before starting IF and Keto. Maybe your body thinks it's starving.

Yeah, everyone always wants to claim “starvation mode”. That is not what’s happening here.

Honestly OP if your clothes are fitting fine and you feel like you are building muscle and it is the number on the scale that you don't like-- don't get on the scale.

I honestly don't know why women do this to themselves.
