| $6 is the ride, at minimum round it up to $10. |
| I expect their employer to pay them commiserate with the value their labor provides. I’m not the employer, I’m the customer. It’s not my responsibility to carry the costs of doing business for Uber. I pay a price for a service. |
| Never less than $15 or 50%, whichever is greater. They need the money more than me. |
Talking to you doesn't qualify as "spectacular conversationalist" The mansplainers will get a 1 star rating. |
| I do not regularly tip uber drivers. |
Are you an Uber driver? If you tip 15 bucks on a 6 dollar Uber, you’re just throwing money away. What a joke. |
| I always tip at least $2 or 20 percent, whichever is higher (usually just pick one of the preoffered options in the app), and I only give 5-star ratings. Drivers basically can't get any fares if their score is below like a 4.9. I have yet to have a conversation in an Uber that's been unpleasant enough that I think the driver ought to lose their job over it, no matter how annoying they can be. |
You do realize, though, that the price you're paying their employer has built into it the idea that you'll also probably tip? If wages were high enough that drivers didn't expect (or need) tips on top of them, the rides would cost you more. |
| I am grateful for the service. I tip $3-$7 in app for a short ride. Mostly short rides. |
This. But where on earth are you getting $6 rides? |
You seem nice…….
|
| 20-25 percent short or long rides |
| You can’t go wrong with a 20% tip. |
| I tip $3-5 depending on length of ride. |
| Whatever the middle button is. Sometimes I round up to a whole dollar figure a little higher |
