Dance shops in NoVa for pointe shoe fittings?

The Dance Shoppe was amazing for my 13 yo DD this past fall. It was her first pair and they turned out great. The woman who helped us was beyond thorough, spent tons of time with my DD, and was so kind and enthusiastic. Even though the storefront appears a little smaller, they seem to have plenty of products stored in the back. I would highly recommend them.

Same but not too happy with her fittings. My older daughter went elsewhere and it was much better but closed during covid.

Yeah, their fittings aren't great and they seem desperate to put everyone in Nikolays.

Can someone please PLEASE open a dancewear store inside the Beltway?

Not in NoVa (nothing is close anymore) but HIGHLY recommend visiting R-Class for a fitting, they have opened in Manassas, Natalya from Liesl's fits there as well as Jennifer from the R-Class team they are both amazing, its a bit of a trek to get out there but fittings have been great and they have lots of appointment slots and scheduling flexibility.

I know this isn’t exactly what you asked but IMO it’s a little worrisome that your DD’s teacher isn’t accompanying the students going on pointe to their first fitting.

TWSB did not have a teacher present for DD's first pointe shoe fitting either, FWIW. Perhaps another sign of the school becoming too large? TWSB did offer a sign up sheet for appointments at Footlights, when it had a store in Silver Spring, but that was pretty much it. Looking back, that was a red flag.
