| Swim meet, two shifts working at our pool. Seeing a movie with friends. Probably work on summer reading assignment. Hitting the farmers market with me. |
| My 16 and 14 year olds will be on screens most of the weekend. Just keepin it real. |
Love you for this. |
| You said no 4th of July plans, but mine is in your age range and going to see fireworks Saturday. |
| We are hosting a large 4th of July /bday party on Saturday as is our annual tradition the weekend before 4th of July. On Sunday we are taking dc and friends to an activity/brunch to continue bday celebrations |
What? School ended 2-3 weeks ago. How have they done everything? |
| Seeing a friend to get lunch, but this is rare. He has autism but has a few friends, mostly nerdier NT boys. They don't seem to hang in person that often. |

16 - at a river front teenage hangout tonight with some of her friends. Then tomorrow is getting her hair done. More hanging out probably. She drives so not applicable for you probably but they generally on the weekend go to the pool, river, thrifting, different peoples houses, eat out spots. They’ve done some off beat things like geocaching and “randonaughting” when bored. On a lucky weekend someone has a party which seems to usually be 10 kids max but occasionally has been a lot more.
14 yo goes to the pool, food carts, mall, thrifting, park to “tan”, her world is a little smaller bc of no car. |
| Oh and 14 yo is babysitting tomorrow - then hanging out with a friend after. No set plan |
| Watching the Euros !!! Teens are huge Germany soccer fans. |
|
11 yo DD. Birthday party at somebody's pool today, and hosting a playdate tomorrow. They're going to do crafts and a no-bake dessert at the playdate.
Kid has chores and music practice, reads in her downtime, needs to write some birthday thank you letters, and her grandparents would love a call. If she turns up bored, I send her to those things. |
This is my kids too. They are really busy on weekdays so will do maybe a little tennis or pool or pickleball on a weekend with us but not really their preference. If they can't find a live kid to hang out with, they chat online, online game together. I don't know if they facetime + game or the chat is part of the game, but they are pretty social that way too, with a wide variety of kids. |
| 13, 8th grader. Plans I’ve heard about so far: Skateboarding, swimming, playing guitar, hanging at the guitar shop, getting a haircut, and then shopping and going for pizza with friends. |
