OP, I'm the PP who lives in San Francisco, and can't believe I forgot tell you about two great places, both in Noe Valley, both on 24th Street.

1. Pancake Boy for breakfast/brunch. They change the name every few years but it's always owned by the same family and has excellent food, plus they have outdoor seating.

2. Fiorella - they have a few different locations within SF, but the Noe Valley one just opened yesterday.

I love Konkani but not sure I’d take kids those ages. My kids (7 and 11) really love Tacolicious.

https://thestinkingrose.com/ We honeymooned in SF years ago and a friend recommended this place. It was fantastic, we actually went twice in the week we were there.

Oh no. It's a total tourist trap. And no matter how many times you brush and use mouthwash, your breath will stink of garlic for at least a solid 48 hours.

NP- Ha! Same and same! Though we ate too much garlic, but it's a great place!

As a 10 year resident of San Francisco, most of these suggestions bum me out. There’s only been about three non-tourist traps suggested. Might as well go to Bubba Gump shrimp at that point.

Well, make some suggestions, then.

It’s hard to give suggestions when OP hasn’t responded with the TYPE of food they’re looking for. Ethnic? Seafood? Michelin starred or mom & pop?

PP beat me to it. Best place in the city. If you want to venture into Berkeley, Chez Panisse is amazing. I like the downstairs cafe because you can order a la carte, whereas the more formal upstairs restaurant is a set menu each night.

I lived there 15 years ago . So great to know this is still so popular and good
