| About six months ago I started using a very basic tallow based skin cream for my face and body and added a little castor oil in the evenings. My skin feels amazing and recently some of my college friends asked if I had any work done, LOL. Nope, just tallow, sun and improved diet. |

I use tret & vitamin c and I really, really like the Weleda Baby Face moisturizer. It's inexpensive, isn't slimy/oily and doesn't irritate my skin.
And it's not expensive. https://www.amazon.com/Weleda-Nourishing-Face-Cream-Ounce/dp/B000QURQQU/ref=asc_df_B000QURQQU/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693286505166&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12201020646625479733&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007531&hvtargid=pla-432220315136&psc=1&mcid=ac85e0fec20331379dc902d09eab3ae8&gad_source=1 |
Seriously -- you are recommending "sun" for mature skin? Do not listen to this person. USE SPF. Skip the "tallow" and "castor oil" and UV light. |
You should be using the Vitamin C in the morning - not in combo with the Tretinoin at night. Ask your dermatologist to confirm. https://www.prevention.com/beauty/skin-care/a43643192/can-you-use-retinol-and-vitamin-c-together/ |

That is too much product I think - no need for evening Vitamin C and that is a lot of times a week - your skin should be getting used to the retinol. Scale back the number of times a week and build back as your skin becomes less sensitive. I love love Elta MD sunscreen/moisturizer in mornings. I sometimes use the Cerave AM sunscreen/moisturizer if I need something thicker. |

Same exact routine, except I also use it on trentinoin nights (I actually sandwich with it on trentinoin nights)- curious what moisturizer you use on your tretinoin night? |
| Deiux - the cream in a tube - is perfection for the type of skin you describe. It's changed my skin. I also use the serum Holy grail forever. |
| I have been using rose hip oil lately and I’m loving it. So is my skin. I use it around my eyes at night so my tret doesn’t get to my sensitive skin. And I use it in the mornings too. |
All those hydro gels burn like fire! I think they’re just not for eve fry one. Also, Vitamin C should be in the morning with the CE ferulic serum. After my serums, I mix a few drops of The Ordinary’s squalene with the most basic Cetaphil in the mornings (https://a.co/d/9kjlxq6). Then follow with Trader Joe’s supergoop dupe SPF. It’s been a great combo for me. |

It’s probably the niacinamide |
CE ferulic IS a vitamin C serum, and a super potent one at that. You do not need an additional vitamin C serum and certainly not at night with tret. That is way too much |

My derm is in her 50s and told me she has used oil of olay her entire adult life.
Ive used eurcerin redness relief for 20 years. Love it, obviously |
Which Elta MD do you use? |
