I think if you actually read the linked articles you might see things differently. If not please post a link to the many studies you know about showing conservatives are happier. Or even one.

No. We just don’t think everything needs to be fixed. We accept that there are good days and bad. The people go through phases. That some summers are hotter and some winters have more snow. We don’t look at every sad day or big storm as indicative of some major mental crisis worthy of medical intervention or every bad storm as evidence of climate change. My biggest opposition to trans medical intervention is that for the most part I view it as a phase. Like the little girl who loves horses she much she canters around and whinnies as if she is a horse. Puberty is awkward and many of the changes it brings are unwelcome. Being uncomfortable with it is both normal and a phase. I am not afraid of trans people but I don’t think that the majority of kids claiming to be trans are actually trans. I have a close family member who is but the journey to get there took many years and he was well into adulthood before anything medical was done. And that’s totally ok. I am not saying climate change doesn’t exist. In fact it has existed forever as evident by the differences in the climate during the ice age as well as during the millions of years before. I just don’t think we can really do anything about it so I think it’s just not something I worry about. A single volcanic eruption can undue whatever “progress” we have made by shifting away from carbon based fuels. I think conservatives just accept that we can’t fix everything and that we should just enjoy our time here.

But here’s the thing. Why won’t you let anyone who is not like you enjoy their time here too?

You make some solid points, though I would disagree on climate change. I disagree on the “fixing” things assertion. Why interfere with women’s health care? Why not let kids feel welcome if they have same sex parents? Or if they themselves have questions? Why not support a level playing field for all kids regardless of income and ethnicity to succeed by investing in education and early childhood development? Why so cruel to immigrants and assume they are “stealing” resources?

The higher rates of suicide in more conservative states suggests that the picture is more complicated than this.
