+1. The large open LL Bean tote is good for packing larger items and the canvas is very stiff. Land’s End is more of a large purse with pockets, etc. and a good weekend bag or carryon. |
| I don’t want to hate on the boat tote but I really prefer scout bags. In our humid climate boat totes for me always ended up kind of stiff and suspicious. Maybe I just didn’t wash them enough. But scout bags are lighter and don’t hold anyway water, so I wouldn’t go back. |

Agree with the pp comment that bean’s boat totes are stiff and heavy.
Lands End ones are softer. They’re both great, but I find my Lands End one more comfortable to carry. |
