Waterproof cast cover recommendations

He needs to just come to terms that is won’t be swimming. What is wrong with you? Waterproof casts and covers are to protect against splashes and light water use, like swimming an infrequent occasions. It’s still not OK to swim in a lake for hours every single day for weeks.

Or showering?? You’ve clearly never had one. That’s absolutely what they’re designed for. Swimming and showering everyday. I had one in July years ago and swam and showered daily.

OP I hope you find one. The non waterproof ones suck and are a PITA.

But it's sort of difficult to get on and off and might need a bit of assistance just because it's so airtight, and I think they recommend that you not wear it more than half an hour without taking a break.

Zero chance my kid would be seen in public wearing that.

So don't buy one.

OP here. Thanks, does this work for teens? He is 16, almost 6 feet tall.

Yes, they come in various sizes and you just need the one that fits his size. They are a bit of a pain to get on and off, but my kid swam all summer, submerged, all of it. It's not ideal but keeps them in the pool.

OP here - Thank you all for the suggestions. We went in yesterday. They placed a regular cast for now but they will replace the cast in 2 weeks with a liner. Meanwhile, is there anything we can do to protect the cast? Not for shower, but regular use. for example, water may drop here and there while brushing teeth or from rain. Can we wrap a plastic wrap around the cast for 2 weeks?
