How much TV does your teen watch on school days?

This is how I feel too. And it’s a struggle now that DS has a phone. I wish he would just watch a show on a big tv across the room instead of short clips 10 inches from his face.

I have no idea. Half the time the TV is on but they are on their phone or doing homework. I don't stress over it.

an hour or so they are always on the phone or the Ipad -

Depends what sport season it is.

About an hour - whatever time is left after all responsibilities are done and it’s time to go up for bed. Sometimes less, but usually about an hour.

My middle schoolers watch a lot of tv - I also prefer tv shows/movies to YouTube or social media.
I'd say they probably watch 1-2 hours on the week days and probably more on the weekends.

None. Not sure how your teens have any time. With sports and extra curriculars, 16 year old DS usually doesn’t get home until 8. Then it’s shower, dinner, and homework. No time for TV.

I have no idea because it's part of whatever she is doing on her iPad. Is there a distinct reason you are asking about TV and not screen time?

Wow, what are these teens watching so much of?

I can't seem to find anything good to watch these days.

DD watches the voice, so you think you can dance, cooking shows, HGTV, reruns of old shows she loves on nickelodeon like Henry danger. She easily logs three hours a day. I DONT CARE. so much better than the phone.

I wonder this too. I replied above that it depends on the sport season. I have one kid who watches a fair amount of sports, usually while cooking. His sibling watches almost zero TV, which sounds great until you realize he's playing video games. I'm not sure video games is more wholesome than hockey while making us dinner!

Maybe 30-60 minutes? We try to watch an episode or two of something after dinner. I go to bed early and she's typically doing sports until relatively late so there's not much time for TV.

My teens watch more shows on streaming services or YouTube, they don’t use cable, they are 15 and 17 years old. They are not allowed to watch TV-14 shows tho.
