How much TV does your teen watch on school days?

Like hours? Mine has been logging 2-3. She NEVER has homework. Extracurriculars are later in the evening.

None. We don’t allow tv on schools days. On the weekend … well, that is another story. They have lots of activities, but get up earlier than me and watch in the morning and I don’t police it on Friday or Saturday night. Sunday after activities we treat like a week night so they go to bed earlier. We started this pattern in elementary. It might be hard to impose now if this hadn’t been standard practice.

We watch an hour long show in the evenings. I think he watches 1-2 half hour shows before I get home

Mine probably averages 2 hours. I vastly prefer TV watching to other types of screens.

My ds zero, he hates tv, but watches some Youtube, reels...DD and I often end up watching a couple shows, so maybe 2 hours.

One DD and stepDD don't watch any, and stepDS likes to watch a half hour show "to unwind with a drink" and sometimes other DD will watch with him.

Don't worry - his drink is like, water with lemon or a cucumber or something.

None, but she is on YouTube maybe an hour or so?

Depending on how much homework he has, probably somewhere between 30 min and 2 hours— probably 1 hour most nights. Usually one episode of a show.

Technically none, because we don't have a TV.
But I'm being facetious, because it's all screentime on their laptops or tablets.

Why would you word it that way? How odd.

It depends on the sport season.

One of my kids likes to watch sports and cook. I don’t complain because I like to eat, and he gets his work done and is active in extracurriculars.

My other kid doesn’t have much free time because he works more slowly and spends a lot of time on music, when he does have time for screens it’s almost all video games, or FaceTiming his girlfriend.

My 16 year old will occasionally watch a one hour show.

My 13 year old will watch something on her iPad if she has a free evening, usually while she does her nails.

There’s not much TV watching during the school year.

Absolutely. I am always heartened when I see my kids watching TV.

I said it that way because I'm odd. I say everything slightly oddly.
