Mcps middle school assignment - only allowed to use CNN, NPR, and Pew

I bet that if you use a different non-paywall source or a gift link source, it will be totally fine.

Did the instructions say that no other sites are allowed, or did it mention only those 3 in the instructions?

Did you or your child ask the teacher before complaining to strangers?

I wish they would directly address the spin both sides put on the infotainment media and policy shops.

Again: I’m liberal. But I’m Gen X…the generation that was bred to cut through the crap and use commonsense and grit to get by.

Has nothing to do with being "liberal"

And by the way, CNN is not "liberal" it has been both siding it and crapping on Democracy for years now.

While those sites might lean "liberal" they are more factual then most which for a school project makes sense for anyone with a brain.

"Commonsense" we are not living in normal times. Commonsense has gone away clearly given the republican party is the party of the "Unified Reich". Do not tell me it is not they would have taken it down if it was a "mistake" They have not and anyone with a brain knows why.

So spare us your fake "liberal" outrage.

This is not about "liberal" vs conservative news anymore. It is about reality and not reality or Democracy vs Facisism Dictatorship Christian Nationalists.

The far-right hates CNN, and they seem to pander to the right in the hope of offsetting their criticism. The right won't be happy with anything short of propaganda like Fox. CNN is pretty terrible and definitely not liberal. Better off just reading the paper.

The right thinks anything that doesn't conform with their fantasy outlook on the world is "liberal."

CNN, NPR and Pew are fine, legit sources for a project such as this. It's probably more about preventing them from using Wikipedia or OpenAI.

+1

Ask the teacher for clarification before outrage commences

OP did they say those are the only allowed sources? Students will be marked down if they use other sources? Or is it just that those are to e ones they affirmatively suggest?

Hate to break it to you especially since you sound crazy..... CNN is very liberal. But, you must be right, only one state approved TV news station should be allowed. That works so well in other countries like North Korea.

CNN is only liberal if you regularly watch Fox or Newsmax.

Our society has gone so far to the right that even conservatives from our past like Reagan or Nixon would be super liberal by today's standards.
