Doesn't some council member want to stick it to the mayor with a hearing?!

If it was in Ward 5, 6, 7, or 8 sure. But in ward 3? A good half of the city just laughs and says shouldn't get priority ever.

Frumin has blown what little political capital he had on bike lanes. Meanwhile existing infrastructure deteriorates and the apartment buildings are getting packed with homeless and drug addicts. It’s completely dystopian.

But he, or his people, do seem to be reading this board.

I’m certain the other council members laugh at him behind his back. A weak Ward 3 CM is a dream to them.

Bike lanes are a distraction. He’s an absolute joke and proven himself completely incapable of delivering on basic needs for his community.

Even that he did ineffectively since the bike lanes seem like they aren't happening?

Frumin wants his ward to be more welcoming and inclusive — as he says “Ward 3 for All!”

Frumin actually called for no funding of any safety improvements along Connecticut Ave without bike lanes getting built. In other words, there would be not even a single raised crosswalk for March students without Frumin’s treasured bike lanes. That’s petulant public policy.

It’s worse than petulant, it’s negligent.

Parts? Did they install a Belarusian knockoff system? It's been three years

That isn't true.

Yes, what’s the hold up? Pandemic delays are over. And who is the new director?
Anonymous
The hold-up is general incompetence.

Hunter was still the Director as of May 22nd.

This seems to be more than just a simple leadership problem. Most of the points of failure seem to be coming from people along different parts of the line. The people that constructed and inspected it the first time along with whomever is supposed to be fixing it and ordering parts. There's never any accountability in the District government.

Yes, it is. Frumin pushed Charles Allen to condition Conn Ave safety improvements on building bike lanes, in the committee report. Fortunately the rest of the D.C. Council displayed more sense.

Are you presuming that Frumin will actually try to hold someone in DC government accountable? Good luck with that.

There’s water polo, but if water pickleball were a thing then Frumin might be more focused on reopening the Wilson pool!

Parks and Rec is not responsible for the maintenance. DGS is.
