Proten for salads - things that don't require cooking or can be microwaved?

Anonymous
Trader Joe's has started offering sliced grilled' seasoned chicken breasts in their prepared food section. The Thai chili lime and the lemon pepper are both great in salads or on homemade pizza. It's $8 for a pound, with is more than you'd spend on just chicken but between the seasoning and prep, and not having to grill it myself, it's very worth it.

We also hard-boil eggs for salads a lot. It's still cooking but it's very passive-- boil water, cook the eggs, then scoop them into an ice bath when the timer goes. Way easier than cooking meat., and doesn't make the kitchen (or me) hot.

I wish they made this but with actual chicken. I do not need rice starch in my chicken!

Wegman's has it. It is actual chicken, it. is just also rice starch and salt.

Canned chickpeas
Nuts
Hard-boiled egg
Avocado

These are fat sources more than protein. An egg has 6 g of protein but everything else in this list is a fat source.

This and cottage cheese has more protein than regular cheese.

Trader Joe’s has tons of various precooked proteins. It’s the best thing about the store in my opinion.
