Are you mad that this player made the team and was invited to join practices with the new team while your DC is still waiting to be accepted to a Rec team? LOL

Not PP, but It also becomes a numbers game. All spring long, DD's team has had almost a full team worth of outside players show up to trainings.

That’s on the coach and not the new player. Did you ask the coach why he invited so many players? His answer might surprise you.

I would be very frustrated by that, as it takes away time, touches, coach attention from my own dc when we have paid a lot of money for the training.

Agreed but are these new players pretty good? Coach might need guest players and also encourage competition. If you’re frustrated, talk to the coach. And is your DC staying or leaving to another team after this season?

I don't think any of these players are guest players or being brought in to encourage competition. These new players that will be on the team next season and want to get acclimated with a new team before fall. I wouldn't put any of this on the players, it's on the coach - they're the one that invited the players in the first place.

I can see the existing players side of this. Chemistry is already off with promotions/demotions and the season not yet over. The new players can wait their (paid) turn

again it's not on the new players. The sad truth is, the coach has already made his decision on the roster for next year and those that didn't get an offer know that already. Does it suck? yes. Is there anything we can do about it? No.

For us we have both players from outside the club and players who have been promoted who has been coming to your training.

+1. We experienced a lot of it this spring with our clubs new ID policy. It was very frustrating to families.

I thought by HS, the end of year shuffle, meaning 2 months before the last game, would stop and teams would pretty much stay together. I'm resigned now to believe that there is change every single year until my DC either finishes HS or stops playing.

Sounds like the parents upset with huge group of kids at practice near the end of year haven't been at this very long.
