Brown WL - Any Insight To Previous Years?

If the parent is using a brown email, isn't it possible the parent works there? That seems more likely to me

Alumni get a brown email for life, although it is slight different nomenclature than their student one.

Well if they are in at ivy already their future is secured!

Honestly has been wanting Brown over the "higher-ranked" Ivy that picked him. I agree. I think Brown would be a better fit. But, we are clearly all powerless againt the Ivy admissions gods.

I hope your kid communicated these sentiments to the AO.

He can always try to transfer if unhappy. My kid has friends who transferred from other Ivies. Thriving at B. But, maybe your kid will live the school they are planning to attend. The dorms will probably be better wherever that is!

As for the WL admissions, there have been a few over the last couple weeks. Seemed to be heavy on private school, but then saw a few public school too. (Not sure which your kid is).

If kid wants Brown to avoid required classes, then won't transferring not really help since students tend to take most required classes freshman year. Regardless, good luck to OPs kid!
