when my daughter is out in town and had a drink getting a call saying “can you pick me up from McDonald’s” isn’t much help. There’s about 12 in our city. I track her, I pick her up, and hopefully she doesn’t 🤮 in my car! Ps she’s 21 so not technically a kid |
We had a kid in our small town who was driving home after work and when he was a late his mom looked him up on life 360 and he had been in a car accident. He is paralyzed from the chest down. While you can get wrapped up in the details of the app, at its core, it’s a great app. |
We just went on a boat ride. All of us were risky drives…and you can see we were obviously on the water |

You know what they say about opinions…. If it’s not for you, great. Maybe pick a different thread to follow. |
I think it is insane this day and age if you do not track your child with a cell phone. Good luck to you if you. Trust them not being distracted or other drivers. Good luck being naive. Best of luck |
What an asinine comment. |
Simple. Then don’t use it. And don’t worry about what other people do if it doesn’t affect you. |
Life 360 is great. My daughter was traveling overseas and her phone was stolen. She went to the local police who tracked the phone to the house of the person who stole it. She got her phone back which is unheard of in most incidents. |

My teen is a pro-level mountain bike rider, and suffice it to say, has had more than one significant crash he wasn’t able to recover from by just riding out of the ‘middle of the woods’ trail he was on. Do I care where he’s riding? Not really, but it sure beats not knowing where he is if he’s laid out somewhere with a broken fill-in-the-blank. He rides safe and with others, but unfortunately kids aren’t out there saying ‘wait, let me give you my mom’s number in case I bail and am unconscious’…
Only a kid would make a comment such as yours. It’s not about ‘tracking’ you, it’s about keeping you safe. |
I can tell you don’t have kids so sit this one out, weirdo. An app that has crash detection, speed monitoring, and location services if something awful happens is actually life saving. Once again, you’re a weirdo. Have a great day
Thank you for saying what all of us parents are thinking. I have 2 that just started at different colleges and my youngest just turned 16. As a widow and tackling this new milestone in our lives alone, I would probably be an absolute mess worrying about all the of them without the app. Life360 has given me that peace of mind that myself and many parents are needing. That's not even getting into how the app helped my daughter when she was being followed home from work one night by a guy who ended up being on the sexual crime registration list. So, on that note, Mr/Mrs "People are crazy": unless you are a parent, you get no say and your opinion is far from valid. But, feel free to go cry in a corner if I hurt your feelings. Moving on. |
Nah. I use it to be able to go TO my child's location in the event u need to. Just today she ran out of gas in an unfamiliar area. Life360 took me straight to her. |
To the "people are crazy" commenter.
Nobody asked you. Take a seat will ya. |
Your 21-year-old with a smartphone is incapable of telling you where the McDonald’s is? |
It gives you piece of mind knowing they are safe when they travel. I have a son in college and I can check without bugging him to know he is safely back in dorm room at night. He travels far with his team (we hear of lots of team bus crashes) so knowing he made it to the event without having to call him and bug him is a win for him and us. He uses it to track us so he knows when to be ready for us to arrive to pick him up.... so many good uses. |
