How much to movers cost these days?

Assuming you’ve self packed and distance between residences is ~20-30mins

<700sqft 2 men small truck 2.5-3.5HRs in town

>700 but <1300sqft is 3 movers / 20ft truck and about 3.75-5.5Hrs

>1300 but <2000swft is 4 men/26ft truck. 5-6HR

Over 2000sqft should be 5 guys (will need a 2nd truck if garage/shed/porch/patio stuff). 5.5-7HRs.

Over 3000sqft should be 6 guys and 2 trucks. 6-7HRs

Over 4000swft and you MIGHT want to break it into 2 days because that’s a big job.

Not really a cost answer but if you move on a week day not at the very end of the month you will get a more experienced crew which will speed up the move. It matters if you are paying by the hour. Also less breakage.

All of the pps who used a moving company, are those prices to pack you out? Not to move you in too?
