First suv

Why do you need 3 rows? I didn’t get that until I had my 4th. I’d go for an x3 or x5 without a third row. Everyone we end up w/ a rental that’s a Toyota or something, I find the driving so boring and the experience is not pleasant. Get something you’ll enjoy

Highlander. Not even a contest.

Never ask a forum comprised of progressive scolds what type of SUV to buy.

I bought a Volvo XC90, but my husband said the Audi had a lot in common with past BMWs he has owned.

The Audi is trash compared to the BMW. You make almost half a million. Buy the X5M60i that you know you want.

I want a lot of things but I’m trying to get to a value buy that’s not boring to drive rather than the 500hp race car suv at 90k.

Maybe I could buy the 2020 cpo m50i at 50k?

Depends how big/old are your kids? Get a 5 year old 911 if they can fit in the backseat. They are useful daily drivers and fun to take the kids around. You can get most of your money back after the kids grow out of it.

Otherwise get a secondhand Cayenne base or S. Toyotas are great cars as appliances, but I don’t want to drive one.

I’m not a a progressive scold. I turn wrenches for a living.

The Audi and the BMW are both garbage.

Get the Highlander if you want a comfortable, boringly reliable unpretentious vehicle.

OP- The third row is for family road trips. It’s not necessary but would be nice to have so we could take the grandparents with us and use one vehicle.

I read the Highlander hybrid has a 5.6 sec 0-60 so I was hoping it drives better.

Get captains seats for the 2nd row, or that 3rd row is going to be a giant PITA to use.

I like the Highlander Hybrid, but I think a 5.6 sec 0-6 claim is laughable. I think 7.6 seconds is a lot more likely. That’s still plenty sufficient for any suv.
