I have two young children and need my first suv.
Ideally I’d buy something along the lines of a 3 row performance suv but prices are high and I’d like to limit cost because childcare costs are already a lot. I have my eyes on three suvs, would like some insight. -X3M40i (2 row), 70k -Grand Highlander max platinum hybrid (3 row) 60k -Santa Fe limited (3 row) 50k Thoughts? My concerns with the latter two is that I’ll miss the handling and performance of a bmw as that’s what I’m used to driving. |

You are spending too much.
The forum has decided that you should buy a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic and drive it for 15 years. |
You could have a perfectly good kidmobile for 30K. You're thinking about spending 40K more than that for performance and handling while your kids cry and you listen to the shit music they demand? Silly. |
OP - I’m a guy. |
| You want us to tell you it’s ok to buy a $70,000 luxury car because your wife wants you to help drive the kids sometimes? Buy it if you want it, but know you can drive 2 kids in almost any vehicle. |
| If you just want a bigger car just get the minivan, the sliding doors are a game changer. If you don't want a bigger car that's actually good for children, just stick to your vmw the kids will fit in either of them. |

buy a nice handling sedan. That's where it should be. Then buy a pilot. Best car and will hold up until you are ready for a smaller SUV. |

Why in the world do you need the max platinum hybrid? Not necessary.
Toyota is the only car on that list worth buying. |
| Unless your current car is a two door coupe you don’t need an SUV. |

If you like your BMW, you should drive the Audi 3 row SUV. Buy a certified pre-owned coming off a 3 year lease.
I bought a Volvo XC90, but my husband said the Audi had a lot in common with past BMWs he has owned. |

XC90 owner here - if you are paying for daycare you don’t need a 3 row car.
Car pool starts in 2nd grade, maybe 1st if you know the other family well or you live very close together. |
