ECNL Tryout Dates Have Ruined NOVA Clubs

For ECNL's benefit, mainly NL teams.

How does it benefit ECNL? In other states like MD the tryout dates are May 1st.

They have completed rosters early. If they choose to they can start bringing the new kids into practice with a few months left in the current season

In that case why not have rolling tryouts all season long? And why is this only in Virginia and not other states?

Because rolling tryouts is needless stress on the current ECNL team

Rolling tryouts would never work because clubs lock players up for a full year (fall and spring season), if they went to rolling tryouts, then that means players would be free to move about throughout the season. So yes clubs could add a player at any time but that means they could also lose players at any time. You think tryouts in March is a nightmare for the spring season image with rolling tryouts the entire year is like the last half of the spring season.

All the Money is in full year commitments, that is a terrible idea in the pay to play system

If ECNL tryouts were May 1 then wouldn't that push the RL and other lower team into June?
