Why are people acting like supporting Palestine is supporting Hamas?

Where is your evidence that Americans support Israel because of Islamophobia?

Bingo. Even the fetuses are hamas to Israeli’s

Both sides are evil, yet current administration is funding BOTH sides.

WHY?

What does this have to do with a democratic government committing war crimes? Do you think Gaza is a democracy whose people had an opportunity to vote them out and didn’t? Israel citizens voted for a corrupt extremist as their leader. He’s murdering innocent people on American’s dime. Billions of our money spent on sophisticated military equipment and they couldn’t find a way to find Hamas leaders without killing so many innocent people in the process?

Well, to use historical analogies, of course it's true that not all Japanese supported the invasion of Manchuria and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. And it's also true that not all Germans supported the invasion of Poland. But Japan did invade Manchuria and bomb Pearl Harbor. And Germany did invade Poland. And most Japanese did support the Emperor and most Germans did support the Nazis. Those realities ultimately led to the complete destruction of both countries and the death of millions of innocent Japanese and Germans.

Obviously what's happening in Gaza is a completely different scale. The death of 30-some thousand people is like an average Tuesday in 1944. But the pattern remains the same. Hamas invaded Israel on October 7th, murdered and tortured more than a thousand innocent civilians, and launched a war. It is true that not all Palestinians in Gaza support Hamas or the invasion of Israel. But most do. And that attack set into motion the events that have led to the destruction of Gaza.

Today, Japan and Germany are among the most successful and prosperous nations in the world. They are not invading anyone anymore. They have completely renounced militarism and extremism. And hopefully, Palestinians learn from that. Supporting Hamas has cost them everything. Launching this war was a breathtakingly stupid thing to do. War is awful and sometimes people learn that the hard way.

In the past, when the cartel has kidnapped Americans, we did not act like it was Mexico's gov't who committed the kidnapping. It was understood that the cartel was to blame and is separate of the Mexican government. Why is that not understood by those who keep saying that the hostages being taken gives Israel carte blanche to do whatever. Wasn't an Israeli gov person talking about cutting off the water supply in Gaza? How is that *not* a war crime. Hamas needs to be dealt with but it really seems like Israel is taking the opportunity to say "see this is why we have to take over Palestine!". Meanwhile, many Americans are agreeing with Israel only because of their implicit Islamaphobia.

To answer your question, because they can. People can think.what they want. You say the same things over and over and over again every day. Flooding the internet. Yelling in the streets. Shouting from bullhorns. No one is going to be bullied or terrorized to share your preference.

+1

A lot of Germans died due to the evil of the Nazis. Doesn't make Stalin a saint. In a similar vein, a lot of Palestinians will die due to the evil of Hamas. Doesn't make Bibi a saint. Many innocent people die during war. War is hell.

You are kidding right?

70% or more of Palestinians support Hamas.

Hamas started this they will never change.

You're in the batch that karma will come for, propagating lies that you either know are lies or that you should know are lies. Either way, despicable.

Are you saying that Oct 7th never happened? Because i am seeing a whole lotta karma getting rained on Gaza right now for the terrorist attacks.

It makes people feel better about supporting Israel’s terrible actions over the years.

You are doing exactly what OP said. Congratulations on the zero self awareness.

As others have said, it is a way to justify the horrific bombing of Gaza. It reminds me of when people equated Islam with terrorism.
Some people who do that are just dumb but others are clever and know exactly what they are doing

Except that the West Bank Palestinians did just that after Oslo and that didn't work out either. It actually made their situation worse. They've been damned if you do and damned if you don't the entire time.

The only people acting like this are some kind of right wing zionists, upset that their guilt tripping of the west doesn’t work anymore.

Hamas is the military of Palestine in the same way the IDF is for Israel. If the latter and their kills which are far more don’t bother people, why does Hamas? Should the Palestinians not have an army? Because there is such a state and it’s called the West Bank and guess what?

They still get killed too
