You will just walk through with the baby. They might ask you it's name and age. I always bring birth certificate, but no one has ever asked to see it.

This! I used to order from Amazon and have it at the hotel/home when I arrived. PnP is cheap. I would donate to a local shelter or nonprofit when we left.

If you are renting a car bring your own carseat. The rental companies will kill you on a per day charge. When we were new parents we made this mistake and ended up paying more in rental fees for seat than we did for the top of the line one we left at home.

Invest in a car seat backpack. They are not cheap but will make your life soooooo much easier.

Absolutely do not bring your Vista! You will have to unpack it, break it down, and fit it all through the x-ray machine.

I travel regularly with two children, and do TSA on my own. Definitely baby wear. As long as there are no metal parts, I’ve never had TSA make me take off the baby carrier. I only find a stroller useful if you have two children and need to keep a toddler contained. For a 4 month old, you will be more comfortable just baby wearing.

If you need a stroller, something compact like the Babyzen Yo-yo is a much better choice.
