Yes!!! Could even add some sprouts. |
Um, have you ever been to the UK? A ploughman's lunch typically includes chutney. |
| Actually, cheese and pineapple go together quite nicely. And all sorts of chutneys (disregard previous reference to Elvis, the Brits have been doing this for years and it can be delicious, with a nice batch). |
| Another mustard vote. |
| hummus |
| Tomatoes!!!! |
|
Branston's pickle. Or piccalilli.
|
Chutney is really good with strong cheese like a sharp Cheddar. Also try British "pickle", which is a relishy sort of thing, for a classic "ploughman's" sandwich. |
| Ooops. Missed this page of respondents. Make that +1 for Branston Pickle or Chutney for reasons stated above. |
| Chutney, pesto, mustard, hummus, butter, mayo... |
| I really like cheese and roasted red bell pepper. My son likes cheese and peanut butter. |
| Cheddar cheese and green apple in a sandwich is great! |
|
Mustard, mayo, hummus, etc. A lot of people have said the same things and they are very good suggestions.
You could also add some fresh tomatoes or something. I like grilled cheese with minced onion and fresh tomatoes - I imagine a plain cheese sandwich would taste fine with some tomatoes (but probably not the onion). I like the avocado idea. That would be good as well. |
| Chutney and cheese is a biggie with foodies! |
| Bacon and cheese beats chutney and cheese any day of the week!!! |
