Any school still accepting kindergarten application for this fall (2010-2011)?

Try Stone Ridge. I can't remember if it was JK or K that had openings left.

WES usually has open slots in most classes.

Why? WES is a very good school.

All of the schools mentioned on this thread are good. Good schools are not immune to the bad economy. They are looking for kids that will be a good fit, and they're not going to take kids that are bad fits just to fill spots. Hence, there can be openings anywhere.

Not OP but wondering if there is a "favorite" on this list? Which has the smallest/tightest community? Strongest academics?

Just curious - where did you end up going? We are looking at K for 2011-2012. Can you please recommend any independent schools that are still accepting students?

Grace Episcopal in Silver Spring is still accepting applications for K.

In what area are you looking? This post is from last year.

Check out CES in Rockville, they have room for K students, gym everyday and a great new headmistress.

Maybe St Pats?

We are on the waitlist for K at St. Pats and have regularly been checking in with the school. I wish they still did have openings but from what I'm told they are full

Sorry to hear that--good to keep checking--maybe we will see you next year.
