Then don't go to U of Chicago.
Problem solved. |
Daniel Penny killed an unarmed man. This guy who shot an armed attacker was not charged. https://nypost.com/2024/03/15/us-news/daniel-...klyn-subway-shooter/ |
Maddie is awesome. I'm a fan. |
Daniel Penny is a hero. |
Sorry women, but “men are punished for helping women against criminals” is what you keep voting for. |
I ran for the Univ of Chicago Track Club in the 70's and early 80's, arguably the best in the nation right up there with Athletics West and the Santa Monica TC. We were told not to run south of the law school (60th), and that west of campus was off limits, including Washington Park, where XC nationals were held in 1971, even during the day. The current D3 program follows the same rules today (the track in the shadow of the former Manhattan Project building is considered safe). This is what is disturbing about the recent incident - 56th street? During the day? Criminals in Chicago increasingly can act without fear of consequences so it is not surprising to see them in former safe zones. My brother taught there and felt if you used common sense you were OK. Now, things appear to be OK until they aren't. An absolute first rate school. |
Seriously! He could have been shot! |
Is that your answer to everything? |
Speak for yourself. He’d be a hero in my book if he helped. |
Totally agree! Do something!!! |
No, do not try to fight off someone with a gun. Stupid. |
I didn't say fight the guy with the gun. But he could have called 911. |
🙄 Which would be a great comfort to him if he was arrested and prosecuted. Or maybe stabbed or shot by the criminal. |
Live coward or dead hero is a choice we all make. |
