Yea, SYC handled it really well. The 2011B will yet again have another new coach for next season. This is a blessing in disguise for those boys. They will finally have a real coach.
It is disgusting what SYC has put the 2011B through.
| Was JR as big of a jerk as he seemed to be from the other sideline? |
From what I have heard, yes. We turned down a spot to avoid him and have not regretted it. |
You did all those player a favor!
Thank goodness he is not our coach, but I have seen him at the field training the 2011s.
Ment to say you did your player a favor
JR is thoughtless, inconsiderate, apathetic and self-absorbed. That's putting it nicely.
Not my circus and not my monkey but I do see you in all the SYC posts with uncomplimentary things to say in any topic re: SYC. (Your use of the English language and syntax give you away). What's your grievance? Did SYC not give your son the spot you wanted him to have on a team? |
There aren't much good things to say about SYC.
| Personally, after my son has been involved with SYC soccer, I believe the players and coaches want it more. If ASA and Arlington wanted the best possible teams they would be recruiting in Arlandrea or off of Columbia Pike. Soccer should be more equitable for everyone no matter your background. When people are bashing other teams or coaches then it should be a dog whistle and people’s ears should perk up. |
| MYS just posted their coaching lineup as well. |
| Arlington posted their coaching slate which also includes the coach's bio. |
Both of those clubs also recruit successfully in those areas and give scholarships to multiple players. You really think any criticism of SYC is a dog whistle? That would certainly be very convenient for SYC. |
Do clubs/non-academies give out scholarships or is it financial aid for low income families only? Being middle class with multiple kids, it's hard to pay the full fee without any financial aid, forget about scholarships. Just curious if scholarship exists at all and which one gives them out? |
