What weird things do you eat for meals?

Once a week or so I love having a dinner of yogurt parfait (Greek yogurt, few berries and nuts/grain free granola) and some Ezekiel bread with avocado/egg/chili flakes. Yum.

I also sometimes eat cottage cheese with zaatar/olive oil and chopped pistachios for dinner.

I usually feel a bit nauseous in the morning and don't eat a lot right away. But my "breakfast" at 10am - I love dinner leftovers! Diced pork chops and mashed potatoes, or chicken and brussel sprouts ... perfect. Then salad for a light lunch.

Soup for breakfast. My favorite soups for breakfast are mushroom barley and matzo ball soup. I like to eat the soup hot and leave the matzo ball cold and eat it on the side.

I make well-rounded meals for kid dinner at 6:00. But for the last couple of months, I have made myself a large baked potato every single night. Usually with butter/sour cream. Sometimes with cottage cheese. Sometimes with baked beans and a little cheddar. And I eat it at 8:00 and have no urge to snack. Then have a veg/fruit forward breakfast and lunch, maybe with a little tuna or smoked fish. It started b/c I had to have dental surgery, but then I found that I like it and I spend less money at the grocery.

Leftover chicken thighs for breakfast. Peanut butter and pickles on a low carb tortilla for a snack

Y’all are giving me such great ideas. Now I want baked potato for dinner and tuna salad for breakfast (I could eat it 24/7 lol).

I was so relived when I found out Japanese people eat fish for breakfast because I sometimes do too, despite being a white american. This morning I was scrounging since I don't have a lot of food currently as a trip is coming, and I just had cashews and blueberries for breakfast.

What off-the-beaten-path things do you eat for breakfast?

LOL, as someone who despises breakfast food, my first business trip to Japan was SO validating.

Today I had chips and salsa, some cheese, a pickle, and a few forkfuls of leftover salmon.

I agree that pumpkin pie, with a big dollop of whipped cream, and a cup of coffee is an excellent breakfast.

Apple pie works as well.

You gotta try the apple pie Vermonter-style and top it with some sharp cheddar!
