| Theodore Roosevelt's birthplace was an interesting tour--not a top tourist attraction but if you have a week and you're in the neighborhood it could be good. |
| My favorite thing to do is take the East River Ferry that zig zags between manhattan and brookyln/queens |
| Definitely second Neue Galerie with coffee & cake afterwards at Cafe Sabarsky. Love the gift shop too |

I haven't been to the one in NYC, but the Aire baths in Sevilla are great and they have a NYC outpost. Fun to get a massage and hang out for a few hours.

Basic sailing class at Sailmanhattan.com! There’s a 6/1 & 6/2 class - so fun to experience Manhattan from the water.
MoMA would be a whole day for me - museum, movie theater, meal at The Modern, gift shop Central Park and then the Frick. Albertine if you need some new French language books. Saint Ambroeus for gelato or Cafe Sabarsky at the Neue. Or Central Park and then lunch at the bar at Nougatine. Walk down the Highline and then go to The Whitney. You’ll be there during the Biennial. From there wander down towards lunch through the West Village. Tartine, Cafe Cluny, they’re all good Walk Brooklyn Bridge. In Brooklyn walk the boardwalk and get ice cream at Van Leeuwen ice cream. Wander around ABC Carpet & Home bc it’s awesome. People-watch in Union Square. Shop for beautiful art books, first editions, anything and everything at The Strand. Grab a coffee at La Colombe and people-watch Washington Square Park. Go see a funky foreign film at the Angelika. Bryant Park (Rose Room if you need a quiet place to respond to some emails). Snack or drink at Refinery Rooftop bc I’m trying to shoehorn in some rooftop experience while you’re there. Walk through the grand concourse at Grand Central of course. Morgan Library. If you’re trying to connect diagonally across town (between UES and West Village for example), tell the cab to take FDR. Especially at night. It’s beautiful. |
| The vessel is closed because of people jumping off it. I love the Highline at night. As for the Statute of Liberty tickets sell out quickly. You have to book way in advance. |
| Thank you so much for all of this information! I am so excited! |

Newport is the best!
I wore this for a nice dinner while there: https://www.blackhalo.com/products/classic-jackie-o-dress?variant=31509172486216 I also wore the Chanel inspired sweaters for dinner, like this: https://tnuck.com/products/cream-and-black-russell-sweater?variant=43993100681438¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADvuiDg4cVf56ZJ4kcYNueTUfLzWZ&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlN6wBhCcARIsAKZvD5jGqlXuZwL76nnwFPp8eyZjXI5MfreHC8WVtIV8PRF9hWyYvHF36PoaAsyAEALw_wcB Otherwise, I wore jeans while touring the mansions. I was there in mid- June last year and still needed a coat every evening! Have fun! |
| Pp- wrong thread. This was for a beauty and fashion thread. Oh well. |

New Yorker here. the time at museum is great, also check out Eldridge Street synagogue Museum when you’re in the neighborhood. It is incredibly restored and the history is fascinating. Check out when they have guided tours (free) because it adds a lot of the experience. You can get great cheap eats at many places in Chinatown, as well as lots of lower east side favorites. You might be interested in a walking tour, big onion does good ones in various neighborhoods.
For a combination, history, nature spa day, take the ferry early to Governors Island, and visit the q.v. spa there. It has amazing views, lots of different steam, rooms, and saunas and pools, and is a lot of fun. For a simpler spa day, you might enjoy the Aire ancient baths in Noho. I walk all over, including across the bridges between Manhattan and Brooklyn, where I live. I also love biking, especially in central Park. You can rent a city bike and bike all over, including getting to places where there are very few people and just beautiful scenery. The Whitney Biennial is on now. It’s not my favorite but it’s interesting and combined with a walk on the highline and visit to Chelsea market would make for a fun day. I also highly recommend coming to Brooklyn and checking out the Bk museum, time out market, the views from the promenade etc. |
