bad to do more than one egg hunt

I agree with your husband. This over-consumerist attitude cheapens the experience.

But since I don't have to live with you, and these aren't my kids you're spoiling... do whatever the heck you want!

Some people suck the joy out of a space.

If your kids enjoy it and you aren't making your husband attend all these hunts , just do what you enjoy. Make your memories and have fun. When your kids no longer enjoy it they will let you know.

Life is short, do as many egg hunts as you desire. If it brings you joy, go for it!
