| We are not religious. Dh says that I make easier egg hunt not special because I take kids to more than 1 easter egg hunt & take more than 1 bunny photo every year. Well, kids love easter egg hunts, and they treat them as fun activities to do on weekend. |
| We did Easter egg hunts multiple times throughout the year. And it was tradition to color eggs the day before school started in addition to Easter. Some of my friends never did Easter egg hunts. There is no right or wrong - it’s all about what you feel like doing. |
Throughout the year? Who is hosting Easter egg hunts in July or November? |
| Dh is a killjoy. |
Apparently my kids and their friends. They loved it and it’s cheap and easy entertainment. |
| Do as many Easter egg hunts as you want. It will not be long until your kids have other activities or no longer want to do them. |
| My kids loved to hunt for the eggs even when empty. We did it around the house often. It is like a treasure hunt. I bet I still have some plastic eggs (kids are in college!) |

| OP save all your red and green eggs and do a Christmas hunt just to drive him crazy. |
| I think it is wasteful. How many candy and small plastic junk is acceptable? I think one basket of eggs worth is more than enough |
Ok. Maybe a group of friends do it in their backyard. I thought this discussion was about large organized egg hunts at churches, community associations, etc. |
+1. |
That’s kind of weird |
IMO the backyard egg hunts are the only way to go. The community ones nowadays are like The Hunger Games. |
