Tween Easter Dress

I find the whole - need new dress for Easter— silly. Why? Is it to put your daughter on display?

Because she can’t wear leggings and a hoodie to Easter brunch with grandparents. Maybe take the time to actually read a post instead of looking for things to criticize.

DD insisted on wearing "cheer shorts" underneath dresses until recently. Again, made her feel more comfortable in case it got breezy etc.

That dress is hideous.

So don’t wear it

Mine hates dresses, but she'll wear something that's flowy pants. Maybe something like that? Old Navy had some I think.

Exactly. Plus when a kid has grown 4" in the past year, the options she already has from last spring are unlikely to fit...

Seriously, OP said "Brunch with Grandparents at COUNTRY CLUB" not Applebees.

You can usually find a couple of cute things at Macy's. I love this one:

I’m the Hollister poster and we got the dress and romper today. They look so cute on. Age appropriate, not revealing, and on trend. My DD is a sporty, athleisure kid and she loves them (the fact that they are skort/shorts helps). Total win for any other MS moms looking for cute spring/summer “dress” clothes. Hollister’s XXS size is great for average height MS aged kids.

My incredibly tall 6th grader picked a dress from by Speechless (a mall store brand, we found it at Macy's, Kohls, and a few other places). She's a stick for her height and hates things being more than about an inch above her knee. Speechless had a bunch of maxi styles that worked. Not sure how conservative the grandparents or the country club are, but something longer might be good for those too.

Last year she did a jumpsuit from Mango that was super cute, but she's grown out of their kids' sizes and doesn't like their teen styles.

Sure, because everyone can afford to spend $500 on a dress their child will probably will wear once.
