Teen driver — how much did your insurance increase?

State Farm $250 deductible. We have everything bundled (home, auto, etc) and have been with them 30+ years

When we added our 16 year old dd our policy doubled. 3 years later it had gone down by about a 3rd because she had no accidents and was over 18. Then we added our 17 yr old son. The policy doubled again! We had 4 cars so each person had to be listed as a primary driver.

Way more than the actual car payment. Insurance companies aren't stupid. They know teenagers ARE stupid. Even if your kid doesn't even drive but has a license...$$$$.
