Soccer is less expensive everywhere.

Do all countries on every continent have a common shared secret they're keeping from just us?

It’s no secret. Soccer is just more popular there. By a lot.

"there"?
Where is there? The Globe 🌎

What are all these millions of kids playing on Saturdays and Sundays in America?

Basketball & Football. Drive around most neighborhoods in the US and you’ll see those two sports being played far more than soccer in pickup games, at school recess, in backyards and driveways. Basketball and football are what kids watch on TV, buy jerseys and shoes of their favorite teams and players. It doesn’t mean soccer isn’t played here it just isn’t the #1 or even the #2 most popular. And that translates into dollars available. In the US every sport outside football, basketball, and maybe baseball is a niche sport which means high cost and pay to play

It’s less expensive because in most European countries the government HEAVILY subsidizes the clubs. It is a completely different system.

What did you say to contradict the fact that millions of kids play soccer in America?

Every year, US Youth Soccer registers about 2.5 new players
Over 4 mil playing 13-17 years old

More kids play baseball than football btw.

You folks love to throw out red herrings in regards to off-the-wall explanations as to why we are the ONLY country in the entire world where soccer is too expensive.

Have you ever seen that thing called the Olympics?
Other Countries Play Other Sports Too!
.....but soccer isn't pay-to-play

Actually, where in the DMV do you live that in the Spring and Fall you see more kids playing tackle football than soccer?

What's the equivalent of the Soccerplex for football in this area?

Professional academies in the UK are free to join, but entry is highly competitive due to the high level of talent and limited spots available.

So we must have the lowest tax rates in the world since we're the most expensive country to play youth soccer
