I grew up in Northern CA and now live in Northern Virginia. I think this is a good call in terms of relative intrastate prestige, and even the locations are similar. |

First off, nobody's stopping you. Second, the way the UC app is, lots of people apply to multiple campuses, because it's only another application fee. My kid checked off multiple campuses. As did other DC area folks I've talked to in prior years. Only at the last minute did my kid decide not to apply to Irvine as well. |
