Family meet up in NYC

Nyc is one of the few cities where you can plan to walk everywhere and be outside.

Do a walking food tour- we loved one of the lower east side.
The Tenement Museum has walking tours.
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge and high line.
Walk in Central Park.
Ice skate in Bryant Park.

It’s not “nature” but you can easily spend four days mostly outside.

Was also going to say do a food walking tour. We did the greenwich village one. Next time we will do the Little Italy/Chinatown one.

If you want a show, we saw the Play that Goes Wrong on off-broadway. Our sulky teen laughed for 2 hours straight.

I, too, vote for your meet up outside of NYC given your family’s preferences, especially since you have 4 days and not just a weekend.

Have you considered the Berkshires in Western Mass? Lovely hiking, good food, chill vibe.

Walking tour during the day. Broadway show st night. Or alternative to Broadway - Sleep no More down in Chelsea. Interactive louse interpretation of Macbeth - lots of exercise running between floors and rooms.

I love Sleep No More but the amount of running up and down stairs might be challenging for older folks, especially with the amount of shoving and pushing that happens from foreign tourists who would rather run people over and be rude than be mindful of others around them. I was taken aback by an international tourist who almost knocked me over to follow some actors, it was ridiculous.
