Sneakers for Travel

Am I the only one who just has dirty sneakers? It would never occur to me to try to clean sneakers on vacation.

I wore my New Balance 327s (black and white) in Italy over Christmas. Didn't even pack other shoes and they were super comfortable.

I stepped in mud once (with waterproof-ish tennis shoes) and a woman (another mom at kid event) next to me continuously pointed at it asking what I was going to do. I guess some people obsess about keeping the shoes clean but barring something terrible (like poop), I don't clean my sneakers either. It's better to be a shoe cleaner but I am always outside and hiking so it would be useless.

I would have told her that I planned to lick it off when no one else was looking.

You aren't the only one! I bring a sneaker that I don't mind getting dirty, that I can walk miles in and can work with the majority of my clothes and planned activities. I might use a damp cloth to wipe the bottom if they got super muddy but I travel light and I'm not going to bring something special to clean them.

I have struggled with any flat sole but the New Balance 327s shoes were great during my trip to France. I brought a pair of flats and these, and it was all I wore. They were black and white - so many the dirt is less noticeable ?

It's insane. I wear my sneakers and then I actually throw them out and get new ones because even "fashion" walking sneakers don't last and stay supportive forever. I also go through sneakers for my sport 1 per year. Not gonna clean any of them.

Still? Literally "right now"? Because I feel like Air Force 1s were a "huge trend" five years ago.

I have white On sneakers, which seem like a bad choice since they will get very dirty (but they are so comfortable). I have Vejas which a less prone to get dirty—but slightly less comfortable. I have black adidas boost running shoes (very comfortable, not so stylish not black so maybe they blend in).

Or I could get something new. Suggestions for something that is super comfortable but looks never? I was thinking Sambas, but maybe not.

Something like a black Skechers shoe that looks more like a loafer than a sneaker, even though it’s really a sneaker:
