Recommendations for Haircut for tween girl

One of the kids in my 5th grade class went to the Hair Cuttery and got his left eye brow shaved off by accident. This was 30 years ago though!

I gave up on Hair Cuttery (it ends up costing close to $50 and it’s always a zoo there) and now take my tween to Sweet Hairafter in Kensington. It’s a small, funky salon and the stylists are great. Your daughter will love it.

I would take her to a decent salon, even if only once a year.

Assuming your kid is white go to hair cuttery closest to you. Don’t fall for the add ons except maybe a blow dry if your kid wants it.

You’re assuming White kids don’t have hair issues so they can go to any old place. Mine has extremely difficulty hair, too thick, 10 different textures, got mangy looking by the end of the day. I went to about 7 or 8 different places before I found one that that did dry cuts certified in the Ouidad method. It was an amazing difference. Worth the $300.

$300 for a kid’s haircut. No F’n way!

$300 for a white girl hair cut is nuts. But you do you.

Shut up! I started giving my kids haircuts during the pandemic and it has been a source of connection. We talk, joke and play. It may not be a perfect haircut but it is intimate and joyful.
