DCist had "way too many staff?" The WAMU audio reporters also wrote stories for DCist. There weren't radio only and DCist only reporters there. Who do you think got fired? All the good radio reporters! Brilliant!

You can listen to the podcast. Same show, and you can fast forward through the commercials.

My local news comes from Washington City Paper and CityCast DC. I only went to DCist every blue moon, but I did like their reporting on WAMU.

DCist should have allowed comments and reported on crime. When you report on cute puppies while bullets are flying around, and don’t allow comments just on the crime stories, you lose all credibility and readership apparently and eventually your jobs (ask Allen and Nadeau)
