State universities “do events with” (as you put it):
- Hamas supporters and antiSemites. The fact remains: of all places, universities are specifically intended to be safe havens to the free exchange of controversial opinions. |
| Presenting controversial opinions is one thing; presenting "alternate facts" is another matter entirely. We really need to stop validating this crap under the guise of free speech. |
The Ministry of Truth is only an executive order away. |
Wrong. You clearly have little understanding of basic civil rights in the USA. |
This, unfortunately. |
You aren’t entitled to subsidized platforming of lies and Bulls—t |
| So why is there outrage when Ben Shapiro goes to campus but zilch when this guy does? |
He has the right to express his opinion but his incorrect uneducated opinion should not be showcased at an institution of higher learning. I, personally, would not want my tuition money paying speaker fees to a conspiracy theory nut, which isn’t based in knowledge or science. |

I wonder what prompted OPs post. There's no mention that he talked about 9/11--he has a larger story that goes back to the 1990s about his religion and basketball politics. In 2017 he told ESPN "I think" it was an inside job, but that seems to be a detail in his story, not his main story. Ramaswamy has pushed 9/11 truther notions just in recent months. Donald Trump was suggesting Bush administration involvement in 9/11 back in 2015.
Other people who have spoken at MSU include Richard Spencer and other neo-Nazis. |
