Your favorite of the slightly nicer bathing suit brands

In my experience, it's the body that makes the swim suit. I'd focus on diet and exercise first. Then anything will look great. Do you regularly work out?

Summersalt sucks if you have boobs. Absolutely no support and not at all flattering. I like Albion Fit and Athleta. https://albionfit.com/collections/swim-tops?=nav

I’m small but wear 34dd so need support

Garnet Hill suits have held up great for me, and are mostly patterned (kinda matronly, though, but so am I).

First off, shut up.

Second, it's not even true. I work out 5x a week and am in great shape. But I've had a baby and I'm in my mid-40s -- I still have a "mom pouch" and my waist is not as trim as it used to be due to natural thickening at middle age. My boobs need more help. I am about as fit as I can be, I don't drink, and I eat healthy, and I will look 10x better in a well made suit than something cheap from Old Navy. Being healthy and in good shape does not magically make your body look great in any bathing suit. Maybe when you are 22. Not for someone middle aged who has given birth.

I am mainly looking at (hopefully) flattering 1 pieces in nice patterns. Not planning to do more than a leisurely swim or paddle board/kayak. Kids are teens and don't need assistance in the water.

I can’t relate because I haven’t been 125 since in my 20’s, but I imagine pretty much any one-piece will look good on you.

I fell for an Instragram ad last summer but have to say- these suits are great. Plus reversible so you get more options.

I’m tall and large on top and I like Lands End for the specific sizing.

One thing I’ve found is that when I try on a suit, I need to think it’s too tight. You just can’t stop them from stretching out.

Albion Fit. I actually like how the fabrics were better than summersault

I’m 5’6” and 125lbs B cup and the suits that I like are Prana, Athleta and JCrew. Admittedly, I mostly wear two pieces just for ease of bathroom use, but the one piece I have from JCrew is very flattering and has held up well.

For lap swimming I like TYR but I imagine you want something fun and not a workout suit

J Crew
Andie Swim
Bleu by Rod Beattie
Athleta (for a more sporty look)

I have a number of Andie suits I love

I like Left On Friday a lot, but they are mostly solids.

Do not recommend Summersalt, they get baggy and not enough grip in the legs to stay in place.
