Opinions on Brooksfield Montessori?

We will be switching next year (regardless of location change).

Just wanted to confirm: this is in the Tower Club near the Tysons Corner Center mall (near the Marriott hotel and Bloomingdale's?

Current Brooksfield parent but couldn’t disagree more. The school and teachers are phenomenal, and it has been such an incredibly positive experience for our family and our child. It is such a special school that I don’t think could possibly be replicated anywhere else. We’ve toured a few other schools but haven’t been pleased with any of the options and are following Brooksfield.

Curious to know what the school experience would be like after they move. They'd basically be inside an officer tower all day long and there's no park nearby for recess, or at least I don't think there's one w/in an easy walk. Tower Club looks like it's bounded by the Beltway and Leesburg Pike. The grassy areas are basically just the lawns outside the building and those are near busy streets with cars coming in and out of the parking lots, so not suitable for kids to be playing.

They just announced that they're not moving ahead with the Tower Club location. They said they have another location in mind in Mclean that they hope to finalize next week.

Bumping this up to see if there's any update on their new location.

They are finalizing the details of a place in McLean - not Tyson’s - and expect to have a lease soon so school will be ready for Sept. I’m a Current parent and the love and attention and learning is really like no other. Amazing music and art and tons of outdoor play. My child is thriving. Can’t recommend enough.

Administrative staff and teachers are good people who care very much about the well being of the kids. One reason that I think Brooksfield would be hard to replicate is that they are really driven by the core principal of what is best for children and also that they treat their staff really well. Even some of the places with fancy facilities do not do this and treating staff well is really the key to having people who can be so caring to the kids. I would say respect of the kids and staff results in kids thriving at Brooksfield.

Brooksfield will be relocating to Lewinsville Presbyterian Church.

Glad to hear they found a new home. I am wondering how the outdoor program will work. That church has a huge cemetery, and not much other green space or a playground.

it'll be a huge hit for Halloween!

But that is a good point. There is a very small play area w/ a jungle gym on the church's grounds, but it's right against the cemetery and there's no way to fit more than 12-15 kids at a time in that small gated area. Not sure if they could walk over to Lewinsville Park?

I was surprised to see that it does has more green space than you would think. The existing playground will be made into a mud kitchen and there is a house to be replaced with a natural playground.

I would like to know where the green space is because I'm not seeing it on Google street view:
