This would bother me. I would change one or the other.
So, if you were thinking Priscilla Marie Smith ... but Marie's name was "Marie Anne Jones" ... you could do Priscilla Anne Smith If Prisciilla's name was Priscilla Jane, you could do Jane Marie Smith, Anne Priscilla Smith, etc. |
Honestly this. And if you do end up needing or wanting a monogram just skip the middle name. Or give two middle names: Grandmother1 Grandmother2 MomMaidenName LastName making the monogram/initials PMXS |
| yes |
| Or swap the name order and make it MPS |
His grandmother didn’t have a middle name and her maiden name had a shocking number of consonants. Mine had Adrienne for a middle, but never really used it so I have zero emotional connection. Flipping the order of first names has an odd rhythm and, frankly, my mother had a difficult relationship with my grandmother and using her name as first instead of middle might be uncomfortable. I’m just going to have to start expanding the B-list to try and find names we like better. I seriously regret not using my grandmothers name as middle for our first because it would have fit beautifully. |
| Adrienne is so unique and pretty! At least worth considering. |
