Stuck on the idea of naming our girl after his-and-hers grandmothers, but one is a little harshly old fashioned as a first name, plus the rhythm is off. It sounds lovely as a full name ordered the other way, but leads to the clearly unfortunate monogram situation.
They both passed in the last two years and made significant contributions to our lives that we would dearly love to honor but- PMS? Yeesh. Is it worth it? |
| Most people don't even know middle names or call people by their initials. I wouldn't worry. |
| Yes non starter. She will never be able to get anything monogrammed. Plus kids are mean. |
|
DO NOT do this. Please.
My sister was COW and she was made fun of mercilessly. |
| People with cool initials have higher mental health and success, on average. |
| I would not |
| If you’re concerned now, I wouldn’t do it |
| Haha. Yes. That’s awful. |
| I actually considered a name with these initials and changed the name once I realized it. Don't do it. |
So what are some power initials for the expectant Mr and Mrs Smith? It’s a last initial rife with pitfalls. Pamela Noelle is out. Audrey Sophia is also a bad idea. Georgia Ann is iffy. Mia Isabel doesn’t bode well for grandchildren. I feel like all my options are bad ones here

| Nobody cares about initials unless you're from the south and going to monogram things, which in my 50 years of life, I've never had anything monogrammed, so there's that. |
| PMS is a nonstarter, sorry. I think it will be better if you find a different way to nod to the grandmas. Did either grandma have a middle name that would work? Or maiden name? |
The monogram would be pSm and kids won't know her middle name. |
| I would not, ma'am. |
