OP here - is eating 1200 calories a day even possible if you are working out every day and walking 5-7 miles? I feel like I would probably pass out if I ate that little.

Yesterday I ate 1480 calories and exercised burned approximately 410 calories. I walked 13,000 steps and lifted for 30 minutes.

Op, if you are working out every day and walking 5-7 miles, then you’re definitely not in “light activity” category. You probably could benefit from an additional 100-200 calories.

+1. I’d put you squarely in the “moderately active” category, especially if you’re starving at 1500. Try 1700 and see what happens.

We are all different. I wouldn’t lose weight at all if I didn’t get down to at least 1200 cal a day. Any more than that and I will not lose weight. FWIW, I’m 5’7” and over 200lbs and moderately active.

PP you’ve killed your metabolism by starving yourself. This is not normal.

Ignore this lunatic.

Yes, you may loose weight at 1200 but your body and mind will rebel.

You get a lot of exercise. You are not overweight; losing weight is just a "nice to have" vs a necessity at your size since you aren't obese or even overweight according to BMI. I'd try eating more good calories.

fwiw, I am 5'7" and currently 150. Without knowing specifics, my exercise seems comparable to yours. I've been trying to get back down to my "happy weight" of 135 but at 52-years-old it has been truly, really annoyingly difficult. I've learned that even if I count calories, it is consistently food types that seem to make a big difference in whether or not I lose each week.

A fiber-rich, vegetable-centric diet; limit fruit to ~ 1 cup berries or an apple or kiwi/day; and the pounds are starting to come off at 1400-1500 cal/day. And I am not hungry, which is lovely.
