Philadelphia with a grumpy teen

Anonymous
Liberty bell, constitution center, Franklin institute, Philadelphia art museum, Barnes museum, Rodin museum; biking along Kelly drive; check out U Penn; or U Penn archaeology museum. Bowling at Lucky Strike, Ping Ping at Spin. Federal Donuts and friend chicken. Amazing restaurants. What kinds of things does cranky teen like?

Eastern State Pen is great, but Mutter Museum will shock the grumpy out of them.

Yes, this is good. Plus South Street. The Mutter Museum is medical curiosities ... it's gross and weird ... your teen might like it!

Agree on the Mutter Museum. If your teen had any particular interests, let us know and I can give suggestions. Philly is a fab town and so underrated by the DC folk.

Don’t go to south street though, it’s not fun like it used to be. It’s lost its eclectic nature

Omg I have one of these too and can totally relate. I love your question, lol. How to travel with the grumpy teen, brilliant

My teen gets less grumpy when I let him travel with his gaming laptop. He knows that no matter wht we do during the day, he'll be able to game and chat with his friends online that night when we get back to the hotel. That helps alleviate alot of the grumpiness and helps him be more "in the moment" during the day time activities.

After tasting some of the food in Philly, maybe he won't be so grumpy? (Cheesesteaks, amazing Italian, etc)...As another poster stated, it's an angry city so he won't stick out.

Eat at an old firehouse:Jack’s firehouse

Read book Art of the steal or see the documentary of same name then go to Barnes foundation.

Debate the issue.

Have them talk to any Eagles fan about this past season - the kid should realize immediately that his/her life isn't too bad after all!
