It sounds like you have a prescription in hand, don't need insurance, and are looking for places with it in stock. Is that right?
If yes, then ask your doctor about Zepbound instead. (Do some research--it's very similar; if anything, it gives bigger results. Was only recently approved for weightloss (in like November)). I've seen this in stock various places but can't get insurance to cover it. (But that's not your issue.) Also, for both Wegovy and Zepbound, look on the manufacturer's website or google. If you are paying out of pocket, they have some discount cards or something. Doesn't drop the price by a lot, but does lower it somewhat. |
Get a script for the 2mg dose (8mg pen) and use the click chart to dose for the starter dose of .25mg. You’ll get more doses for the same price as the lower dose pen. You can cash pay at any pharmacy. Will be about $1000-1200
Another option is to request Zepbound - you can pay $550/month using the manufacturer savings card (found on Zepbound website) Either way an investment of $3k can potentially cover you for up to 6 months |
I’m the poster who suggested compounded. I would try to get it shipped in out of state you can’t get it in the DMV. You’ll save a ton of money. |
Will docs write a prescription for a compounded, if you live in a state where not allowed? |
Do they send it refrigerated? |
Preston’s in Arlington has compounded — $250 for 2 mg. |
Unsure, as I got mine locally (not in the DMV area). You should try calling around and asking. |
I get mine by mail. It was sent very well packaged with ice packs. |
This. GoodRx coupon to Wegman's it's around ~$950 for an 8mg pen. Google for # of clicks. Don't usually share this, but OP, I hope you have a great year. |
