DH also generally calls his mom every day. She lives a plane ride away and we see her as a family about 5 times a year for 4 days and DH goes to visit alone or with a kid once or twice a year.

Used to every day bit six months ago told me never to see her again...so its been almost six months no contact.

I am 63 and my mother is 97. I never talk to her and never see her. This is her doing along with some siblings. She is well taken care of which I am grateful for.
