Eggs, milk and groceries cost 16% higher than they did in 2021

I paid $1.19 for a dozen eggs and $1.15 for a gallon of milk at the grocery store this afternoon. Grocery prices have never been lower any time in my life, and I’m 37 years old! I credit President Biden 100% for this! Thanks Joe!!!

Baby formula is plentiful. Remember when Republicans were helpless and afraid about our formula supply? They wailed impotently.

But, Joe Biden was undaunted. Our beautiful babies have so much formula now.

This is from letting companies merge left and right. Eventually food is down to three or four companies, no more competition so why not?

The farmer that I am buying from did not consolidate with anyone, but the cost of growing produce went up for him, and therefore for his buyers.

Actually, the farmer I buy from have only raised prices like 50 cents per dozen eggs in the past 5 years, to cover their extra costs. I've found the famer costs are fairly stable.

Inflation definition is inflating money supply. Higher prices are just a symptom of inflation.

Why are people looking at government stats instead of the prices they are paying. I've been buying specialty eggs and milk so I haven't noticed those prices.
But other grocery prices are up.
Restaurant prices are way up. Cheesecake Factory, Five Guys is over $20 now.
McDonalds $1 soda for years is $1.39.
I don't know how Subway survives with sandwiches over $10, some around $15.
Basic energy prices have gone up, and this has added to costs in multiple phases as contracts get renewed. Transportation surcharges become regular price increases. The energy costs for producers raise the prices for wholesalers. Wholesalers then raise their prices. Then there is the transportation costs for wholesalers to retailers. The more processing, the more the price increase. Restaurants that do more cooking in-house, will have a lower price increase. French fries purchased in bags vs making from potatoes in store, for example.

The grocery price inflation will be lower than the restaurant inflation.

Then there is the additional price increases that the global warmings are pushing with their war on agriculture. Europe is facing lots of protests, with the crackdown on fertilizer, and meat production.

Absolute lie. Just checked Five Guys web site - Bacon Cheeseburger (which is two patties) is $12.89.

Cheesecake Factory has always been overpriced - nothing new there.
