Not just shorter, but I’m hearing there is more time to complete the answers. Levels the playing field for all those who can’t afford a neuropsych eval or aren’t willing to game the system to get extra time.

Mine is found much better on digital practice tests than paper. They also did better in the digital PSAT than the paper SAT.

My kid is taking the digital tomorrow (Saturday). Anyone here have their kid take it yesterday or today in school? Saw some other posters online talk about their kids taking it.

Mine has done worse and then even more worse on the two practice digital tests she has taken. Grrr

The math second module was way harder than any practice blue book test.

Why? Digital doesn't allow reviewing and changing answers?

Or paper scoring is more tolerant of errors?

Do scores come back faster with digital?

DP: The paper version doesn't penalize wrong answers and it doesn't matter if you answers questions wrong in the beginning or end of the section--your score is determined by how many you got correct. All questions are weighted the same.

Digital version questions are not weighted the same AND if you make careless errors in the beginning of the test (first module), you will not be able to go back and fix them on the second module. Your score will also be capped if you do not perform well enough to be given the harder second module.

To clarify, by section, I mean the Math section vs the English section.

Yes- about two weeks for scores according to College Board. Score for the March 9th test should be released on March 22nd.

My autistic kid who gets double time got an 1100 on the PSATs. He is no threat to your child. Can we please stop blaming kids with disabilities for your child's problems?

So no. It won’t come back any faster. The paper test returned scores in two weeks.

DC took the digital this morning and said it was MUCH harder than the blue book practice versions (they have done two of them)….

Yes, that's what I heard from my kid who just came back from the test. DC is unhappy.

My kid said he felt good about all the English questions, but he ran out of time on the second section of Math. It must have been harder than other tests like the PSAT.

DS got the max math score on the PSAT. I suspect they are testing out certain questions on the digital format and it's possible that some questions won't count. They also have to make the math hard enough that it shows some differentiation among the higher math students.

Glad that he is done with it and we will soon have that data point. It won't affect where he goes... he is already planning for GMU. So, I expect that he will be accepted. Low stress here on the college applications. DD also only applied to one and was done.
